Where Our Story Started, and Where Every Path Still Leads…
Our Story
We met when we were fifteen, in a noisy physics class where the main lesson seemed to be how much we got on each other’s nerves. Eye rolls were exchanged more often than notes, and our conversations felt more like friendly sparring matches than anything sentimental. We were two puzzle pieces from different boxes, refusing to fit.
But fate has a sense of humor. Our friends, worn out by our constant bickering, kept throwing us into the same circles. Slowly — and stubbornly — we began to soften. The sarcasm stuck around, but laughter crept in. The walls came down. What started as annoyance turned into something unshakable: a friendship built on honesty, depth, and surprising comfort.
Over time, we became each other’s safe place — sharing dreams that felt too big, fears we hadn’t spoken out loud, and the tiny details that made us feel truly seen.
One warm fall night, we ended up on a wooden bridge in the quiet park behind Joe’s house. We lay under a sky full of stars, talking about everything and nothing. That night, something shifted. We didn’t have words for it then, but our hearts already knew.
Life took us far from that bridge. Joe’s baseball career meant airports, time zones, and learning how to hold on through distance. But no matter where we were, we carried each other. Every call, every letter, every shared silence reminded us: home wasn’t a place — it was us.
Eight years later, we found ourselves back on that same bridge — older, steadier, hearts full — where Joe asked the biggest question of our lives.
Beneath those same hidden stars, we said yes to forever.
